Can Mold Be a Cause of Congestive Heart Failure?
Let me start with a short answer. Yes. And if you want help, contact us.
Congestive heart failure (CHF), otherwise known as cardiomyopathy, always has a cause. It is rarely your genetics. It is not because you are a bad person. CHF is not because you are getting older. Find the cause and you have the cure.
Now, let me tell you a couple stories.
Case #1
The first is about a 37 year old woman. She recently delivered her 4th child. Three days after the child was born, she became short of breath and went to the hospital. Diagnosis…peripartum cardiomyopathy, a cause of congestive heart failure.
After a few days she is discharged to home on several medications. No reason is given for her condition, except maybe a virus or something genetic.
Then she consults with me and I do a deep dive. Upon review, her other three children were born without complications to the baby or mom. Nothing was different she states with this pregnancy. Same food. Same sleep. Same prenatal. No jab etc.
Here is what was different. Her home. Technically it was the same home, but the difference was a flood in the basement three months before delivery.
In short, I believe that the likely culprit causing her heart failure was mold mycotoxin exposure from water damage in her basement.
Testing confirmed my suspicion. The house tested positive and so did she.
Her answer is not pharma, but to get out of mold and start to detox. She is doing just that and we are helping her recover.
Case #2
The second case is that of a 64 year old man with cardiomyopathy, thought to be due to sarcoidosis. He has been under the care of the Mayo Clinic and UCLA. He is on 7 drugs and has an implanted cardiac defibrillator.
But something is CAUSING the symptoms and signs we call cardiac sarcoid. He tests off the charts for mold mycotoxins. And this article links mold to sarcoid. The Mayo Clinic missed it. UCLA missed it. Natural Heart Doctor got it. The patient is doing great, off most of his pharmaceuticals, looking and feeling years younger.
I could share several more patient studies, but you get the point. Mold kills.
How Mold Cause the Damage
There are many ways mold mycotoxins from water damaged buildings leads to heart failure such as:
- Inflammation / oxidative stress
- Interfering with the autonomic nervous system
- Immunodysfunction (direct antibody attack on heart muscle proteins such as actin and myosin
- Heart rhythm disorders
- Direct cardiac cell death or apoptosis. Read this article.
