ABOUT DR. KNELLER
James Kneller, M.D., Ph.D., FHRS
Dr. James Kneller is one of the nation’s leading heart rhythm specialists. Dr. Kneller is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine. As a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS) and Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS), Kneller provides comprehensive patient care, combining best medical practice with invasive procedures using state-of-the-art technologies to treat heart rhythm disorders.
Dr. Kneller earned his medical degree from McGill University, Montreal QC, Canada. In addition he holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from McGill University, a M.Sc. in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburg, PA and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering , Magna Cum Laude with a minor in mathematics from Walla Walla, University, College Place, WA. He has completed a cardiovascular fellowship at New York Presbyterian, Columbia University Medical Center and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowships at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, VA and UCLA Cardiac Arrhythmia Center, David Geffen School of Medicine, Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center, University of California, Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Kneller holds appointments as Associate Clinical Professor, Internal Medicine, University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix, AZ. He is Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor, Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, Yakima, WA and Clinical Assistant Professor, Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, Washington State. Dr. Kneller has numerous research publications in the area of electrophysiology. He performs peer review for multiple scientific journals, and serves on the Editorial Board of EP Lab Digest.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys waterskiing, snow skiing, the performing arts, international travel, reading, and gardening.
Beyond guideline-directed therapies, Kneller is passionate about optimized personal health. With a deep interest in complimentary alternative medicine (CAM), he strives to reduce the need for pharmaceuticals, invasive procedures, and exposure to harmful radiation.
