Paleo-Friendly Vanilla Power Latte

I love coffee-shop style lattes, but don’t love the unhealthy ingredients that go into these beverages. What’s a girl to do? Is it possible to indulge in a fun and delectable latte without compromising on health and quality of ingredients? Is this even possible on a paleo diet?

You bet!! Try this recipe  if you are searching for a creamy, healthy latte that is both delicious and nutrient dense. This healthy latte is full of satisfying protein from my favorite vanilla protein powder which is chock-full of extra essential nutrients paired with healthy fats from coconut oil. The best part is how simple it is to make at home! Paleo diet approved and no coffee shop required!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups hot brewed coffee

1/2 cup milk of choice (for Paleo, choose nut milk such as almond, etc.)

1 teaspoon organic coconut oil

1 scoop of daily defense powder (vanilla is my favorite, but chocolate is equally delicious!)

Directions:

Add the brewed coffee, nut milk, and coconut oil to a high-speed blender. Make sure to leave room at the top of your blender so that the hot liquid doesn’t escape and burn you! Next, add the daily defense protein powder. Blend the coffee for about 30 seconds, until the coconut oil is melted & coffee is frothy. Enjoy warm for a creamy comfort drink you’ll want to return to again and again!
