Did you know that molds can impact heart function? Today’s guest, Dr. Jay Davidson, breaks down just how different molds and toxins affect your heart and how it happens right under our noses. Jay is the Co-Founder of CellCore Biosciences and Microbe Formulas. Due to his wife’s near-death experience from Lyme disease, Jay became obsessed with figuring out how to treat the illness on a cellular level. In this episode, he talks with Dr. Jack Wolfson on the impact of mold on our health, where it comes from, and, most importantly, how to identify and treat it. He explains the idea and science behind his companies’ natural supplements and exactly how they work to defeat diseases. Tune in on this information-packed episode to learn more!

The Game-Changing Natural Supplements For Treating Heart Dysfunction Caused By Toxins, Mold, And Lyme With Dr. Jay Davidson
I’ve got Dr. Jay Davidson on the show. Dr. Jay is a two-time number one international bestselling author and was the host of summits. If they are still available, Dr. Jay will tell us about this. All this information and all the experts that Dr. Jay put together, Chronic Lyme Disease Summit, The Parasites Summit, the Viral and Retroviral Summit, The Mitochondrial Summit. He’s also the Cofounder along with Dr. Todd Watts of the practitioner supplement line CellCore Biosciences. These are some of the best products in the world. We are going to talk about CellCore as we go along here and dive into some of Dr. Jay’s experiences. With that, Dr. Jay, how are you doing?
I am awesome, Jack. It’s good to be here.
It’s fantastic having you on. I appreciate you taking the time. I first heard about you from the Lyme Disease Summit a few years back. That was when summits were just rolling out. It seems like there are a ton of great information out there but you were one of the first people to come to market. How did that all come about as far as creating all that stuff? Where did you find the need to create with Chronic Lyme? Where did you go from there?
It came from the desperation of helping my wife. My wife gave birth to our daughter years ago and the bottom fell out. She had to stop breastfeeding. Her body was in flame, shutting down. She couldn’t eat any food. She ended up water fasting and drinking the traditional bone broth for about seventeen days. Anything else she would put like spinach in her mouth, she would start flaring up. It would cause massive inflammation.
She dropped about 40 pounds in that short time, which was not recommended. Her body was in this crazy acute state. She nearly died again. She almost died when she was seven years old in a coma for six weeks from Lyme and other things when she was little and then when she had her daughter, it reappeared.
It shifted my focus. I started getting more into considering maybe natural medicine, functional medicine realm. I was very geared toward Structural Correction Chiropractic. It was like, “What do we need to do to save my wife?” I became obsessed with that area. I was at a conference speaking and one morning, I woke up dead from sleep at 4:00 AM, sat up in Chronic Lyme Disease Summit. I’m like, “Where did that come from?” I hosted the Lyme Disease Summit back in 2015. That kicked off by bringing on experts in different areas and extracting information to bring it to the public. Summits became more popular. It has been quite a journey.
As physicians, we all have that origin story or maybe multiple origin stories. Some of the best holistic and integrative doctors either suffered the health consequences themselves or it was because of a loved one typically, a spouse or maybe a child and that got them into a certain health arena. Your focus back then was online. Correct me if I’m wrong. It’s expanded a lot more because it’s not just Lyme if I were to make this statement.
Tell me what you think so much of what we thought was Lyme is either not Lyme and it’s all related to the concept of maybe water-damaged buildings, indoor air quality or is it that this indoor air quality water-damaged buildings are so deleterious to our immune system so it allows some of these chronic infections to fester and lead to symptomatic illness.
There are all kinds of symptoms that can come up from mold.
My thoughts are different than they were years ago. It’s amazing. As I look at what brings people’s health down, I believe it’s primarily toxins. It’s toxicants. Toxins are more of the chemicals or the byproducts that organisms like mold will produce mycotoxins. Toxicants are technically more of the manmade chemicals.
It’s interesting when you look at Dr. Stephanie Seneff‘s work. She charts glyphosate use, all of these different conditions increasing and words that we have to be careful in saying before we get banned diagnosis as well. Lyme is also in. It’s amazing when you test Lyme you will find glyphosate nearly in that area almost every time. It’s like, “What comes first?” As I look at it, it’s interesting.
I know we are going to talk primarily on mold and mycotoxins but it is to look at pleomorphism and what causes a commensal bug or a good bug to go bad. It’s usually poison. It’s a toxin. Lyme disease, I believe is one of the things that brought my wife down. Looking back at it, as we thought it was Lyme. It was a Lyme flare-up. It came back in the laboratory, it was acute and all that but a lot of it was mold exposure and her drinking water.
She was drinking chemicals and radioactive elements that were suppressing the immune system and the mitochondria not allowing her body to function. It’s easy to get caught on, “Let’s kill that bug,” but we need to go to that next level of what’s causing the bug. Usually, it’s a poison, a toxin. The water-damaged building creates mold. Mold creates mycotoxins. That’s poison to us and we get sick.
For those people who are reading, this is for you because no matter what your cardiovascular issue is, you need to know about the stuff that Dr. Jay and I are talking about. Maybe I will have Dr. Jay break down what those symptoms are. You may not have obvious symptoms that you know of but if you are suffering from atrial fibrillation, high blood pressure, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, had a heart attack, stroke, stent or bypass surgery, if you are one of the tens of millions of people out there with cardiovascular issues and it’s the number one leading killer, you need to know about this.
This is how you are going to survive by learning this information and assimilating all the stuff we are talking about. Let me circle back. Dr. Jay, let’s talk about some of those symptoms of toxins, toxicants on a bigger level and then maybe we will dive down into this concept of water-damaged buildings and the actual big offender there, the mold mycotoxins.
I know I talk a lot about my wife’s past with Lyme disease and it is a big shift but honestly, she had tons of heart issues. She was diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia and went in for ablation and was skiing. This was when she was eighteen years old. Skiing after that ablation and then her heart took off racing. She passed out and ended up at the bottom of Black Diamond somehow. They went in for another surgery. Her heart has been in the area anytime it flips, flops, it flutters. There’s so much tension there the heart with her was a big thing, too.
Stepping back for a second, mold is not usually what makes us sick. It’s the chemical or the toxin that mold produces. The reason mold does this is to shunt and to take down all of the other microbes in the environment. They want to run their show. By running the show, it’s producing this toxin called mycotoxin. That’s what we get sick and react to. It’s not only taking down other microbes and pathogens in the environment as mold wants to be the king or queen of the environment but it’s also going to affect us.
There are all kinds of symptoms that can come up from mold. Generally, it can happen with a family member or two. What happens is it shows up in those that are more susceptible. Those people with bodies that are firing on all cylinders and things are going well are going to be less affected in a mold or a mycotoxin environment, whether it’s work or home. It’s going to take them generally longer.
Whereas other people that had been knocked down with autoimmune, heart conditions or other things in the past, symptoms are going to show up faster. Symptoms can range from brain fog of you are talking to me and I’m saying, “What? Can you say that again?” Things start registering. That’s a common symptom. Also massive fatigue. You can’t even get out of bed. Memory things, lots of brain things, skin rash, itching.
Peritonitis is a big condition, also heart fluttering and heart palpitation type of symptoms, which is in your world. I believe it’s related to mitochondria. The mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell. The brain is generally the denser mitochondria rich for an organ. The next one is the heart. If you start damaging the mitochondria, the organs that require the most amount of mitochondria are going to show first, which are the brain and heart.
The heart is going to affect everything in your world. The brain is going to be more of the headaches, memory loss and can’t process, brain fog, those types of things. What’s common though with mold is a bloody nose that I have seen in the past a lot. People are like, “I literally blew my nose and now I’ve got this nose that won’t stop bleeding.” That’s a big one.
Lung breathing, asthma, wheezing, always a phlegm cough, sinus problems. We always have this strange in your throat or you feel like you can never clear it out. Those are probably some of the most common symptoms. In the brain, it can be more of an anxiety, depression type. It can be frequent urination where you have to pee three times in the middle of the night. You can’t hold it. Mold can have lots of symptoms but those are some of the ones that stand out to me.
When I talk to people, whether it’s on the stage, on video or even in person, I tell them, “No matter what your symptoms are, think about whatever it is bothering you. Understand that it could be mold and we need to figure this out, especially for children, all the children’s brain issues and developmental issues. How do we know that it is not the mold? How do you know it is not the mold? You’ve got to figure this out.”
I have heard this story so many times. Unfortunately, I have heard this story more times in my previous career as a traditional cardiologist, where the only thing we do is exactly what your wife had. We tried pharmaceuticals and surgical ablation procedures. Even if that is successful and they may be, if we never got rid of the cause, someone is still liable to suffer the long-term consequences from it. That’s a major problem.
We see so many people with all these either strain symptoms or symptoms that everybody seems to have. We need to focus on that mold. Let me know what you think if someone is reading and they are suffering from any symptom or any disease, whether it’s high blood pressure, cholesterol, maybe they were told they had Parkinson’s or having these cognitive issues, how should people go about finding out if they are toxic in these mold mycotoxins?
The more that we can clear out all the chemicals that shouldn’t be in the body, the more your life and health are going to radically change.
There are different things. One symptom that popped up in my head too that I want to mention is light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, EMF sensitivity and perfume or cologne knocks you out when you smell it with somebody. If you are in that sensitive category, mold is probably a big thing. Besides looking at symptoms and going through history, has there been water damage in your house? What was done to remediate it? All that environmental analysis.
When you look at the body, you can run a lab test and you can see, are you clearing out any mycotoxins? Are there any mycotoxins in you? It’s not a guarantee that if you come up with mycotoxins in a lab test that you are exposed to your environment, it’s potential you could have ingested it food-wise.
It’s a lot more common where it’s your house you are living in or the work you are working in. More if you are in school. School buildings are notorious for tons of mold and water damage. A lot of public facilities, government buildings are classic for that. I like running laboratory testing. Originally, it was RealTime Labs then Great Plains Labs came out with a mycotoxin panel. It seems that Vibrant Wellness or Vibrant America gives you the most data, the most different types of mycotoxins. You can check to see what comes out of your body like urine. Usually, laboratory analysis is going to be urine or blood.
If any mycotoxins come up in that, that’s exposure. To rule out, “Was it something I ate? Is this more in my environment?” You can also check family members. If family members come up with the exact same types of mycotoxins, it can pretty much hone in that it’s probably the house you are living in. You can start going down where is it in the house and getting somebody to professionally remediate it because you can make the situation worse by opening a wall up if there is mold in that category.
Most certainly, hire a mold inspector. Sometimes, it’s easier to test for it and it may be easier to treat the person than home remediation, which is a whole other issue. I will save that for another episode because that deserves a lot of time. Just because the traditional cardiologists do not understand this, doesn’t mean it’s not true and not a problem.
All these things, Dr. Jay, that you and I are talking about is all in the medical literature. If we look up mycotoxins and XYZ disease, we are going to find it in the medical literature very often. There are not a lot of money in the research on this compared to pharmaceuticals. We need to get people to understand that no matter what their health issue is, it could be a mold mycotoxin issue.
We do use a lot of Vibrant Wellness in our program. It’s a real, simple, easy urinary test. It looks for 31 different mold mycotoxins, either coming from the environment or coming from the food. Once you get that information, we need to get into quality remediation. That is numbers 1, 2 and 3, as far as importance. How do we work to get these toxins out of our bodies? That’s what your passion is. Let’s talk about your company, CellCore Biosciences. What led you, Dr. Todd and the team to start CellCore?
It was not the traditional way you start a company. I became friends with Dr. Todd Watts. I was speaking in a seminar, speaking on Lyme disease and hormones some guy at the end asked a tough question and then another question followed. I’m like, “This guy is either a jerk or very smart.” He wants to know what’s going on.
Afterward, he came up to me and it so happened to be Dr. Todd Watts. I was like, “This guy has got a big heart.” He wants to know and understand biochemistry to a whole other level. We became friends. Over time, he was working with this thing called Mimosa Pudica Seed. It was sticky. He was having it hand encapsulated at a compound pharmacist. He was using it clinically. This stuff changed my life. I cleared worms out of me and change my Lyme disease practice.
He was starting a supplement line to launch this Para 1-Mimosa Pudica Seed. I tried to talk to him out of it I’m like, “You don’t want to deal with the regulations, what you can and can’t say, and all that.” Luckily, he didn’t listen to me. We are at another conference. My wife and Todd’s wife were there and my brother-in-law happened to be there.
One evening, we are sitting around the table and my brother-in-law was like, “Why don’t you start a company with Todd and come out with some better parasite stuff for the world?” I and Todd were like, “That’s a good idea.” How CellCore Biosciences came about was us partnering together in that manner. What I didn’t realize was that Todd knew scientists that create stuff that’s natural that nobody else has. We have about eight scientists that we work with in that area of carbon technology. We are the pioneers in this area.
Essentially, what it is as you look at your body, we are 96% carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and a little bit of nitrogen. Primarily, our bodies are made out of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen. The carbon technology is based on natural extracts of Fulvic and Humic acids. We extract certain pieces and amplify those essentially but those are composed primarily of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. It’s like we are taking the backbone of what our body is made out of.
Whereas you look more in the pharmaceutical realm, they will almost always attach a molecule or chemical that they make to assault a molecule. It’s like, “If we are carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, why aren’t we taking things that are based on carbon, hydrogen, oxygen?” This carbon technology is a game-changer in the supplement industry because it’s designed primarily to help protect and deliver the herbs.
Let’s say we are taking an adrenal supplement and there are a bunch of herbs in there. A lot of them are going to get torn apart in the stomach acid. The carbon technology with CellCore Biosciences helps to protect and buffer that through the stomach acid and the different environmental changes to get it into the small intestine so it can be absorbed, it’s not denatured. We can get more of the product to where it needs to go. Just because of the size and the energy, these are high-energy molecules, the energy drives them into the cells across the blood-brain barrier but then also because of the size, will also assist in it.
It’s always about, “Is the molecule small enough to get to where it needs to go? Is there enough energy for it, too?” It’s one thing to take a petri dish. It’s like, “This molecule binds to this toxin when I set it right on top in a petri dish.” It’s another thing where it’s like, that product made it through the stomach acid, got absorbed in the small intestine, had the energy to get into the cells, bind onto what it needed to and then had the energy to get back out. That’s a whole different ballgame.
That’s what I love about what you are doing. I’m so impressed by your team, the scientists, the research you are doing, doing the things that other supplement companies are not doing. There are one million different supplement companies that are out there. A lot of them are delivering very good products but you are going to that next step.
Opening drainage is key to minimizing symptoms.
That’s why everyone on my side, my health coaches, my doctors, everybody at Natural Heart Doctor are gravitating towards your products. That’s frankly why my family is doing your Foundation Protocol. The Foundation Protocol is so well packaged the way it is. Four boxes come like this. It’s a four-month program of what we do.
Maybe I will let you talk about some of the things that are inside of this program of what we are doing. Treat yourself for month one. It’s very easily done. It’s very well-explained. It’s well-packaged to be able to share that message of how it is easy and the process of how we are doing this. Certain things that you have in here, you’ve got the Bowel Mover, BioToxin Binder, Advanced TUDCA and you’ve got a product called CT-Minerals. This is in a glass bottle. This is month one.
We don’t have to go through the whole four-month program. This is so foundational, which is why you called it Foundational. Describe why it is foundational and then tell me the importance of what I think maybe the first thing you do that you address is to make sure that these outlets and pathways are moving in the body.
Our products have been birthed from a need that we have seen clinically over the years, from other clinicians and us, Dr. Todd, myself, working with clients. The big thing that I noticed with a lot of people that are chronically ill is they have poor drainage pathways and their mitochondria are blown out. There’s no cell energy. Drainage is different than detox. Detox is going on and grabbing onto a chemical pulling it out of the body.
Drainage is the normal pathway that needs to move fluids and things throughout the body so that would be your colon. Going number two, that’s a drainage pathway. If you are not pooping regularly, that is a pathway clogged up that then backs everything else up in the body and inflammation, all kinds of problems can ensue. It’s drainage, kidneys, the liver bile duct. Bowel movement is one of the areas I see most commonly backed up as well, too.
There are certain types of mold mycotoxins like trichothecene and gliotoxin that will stop the flow of bile. Glyphosate will do that as well, too. Opening up the drainage is a key to minimizing symptoms. If somebody goes through a protocol, they are hurt, start having symptoms and they are like, “I can’t proceed,” generally, there’s not enough drainage.
If you are trying to kill a pathogen or detox a chemical, everything is clogged up and there’s nowhere for that debris and things to go, symptoms occur. That’s why we want to support drainage. The second thing is mitochondrial energy. This was the a-ha for me working with Dr. Todd Watts and his understanding of biochemistry.
I have been such a big fan of drainage. There’s one thing that he said to me when I was like, “When the liver is not functioning, we need to open the bile duct flow up because if the bile is not flowing, then everything gets backed up in the liver.” He said, “You have to remember that it’s the mitochondria that are the energy switch to make that organ function. Not just taking products that move things but taking products that energize the mitochondria to bring the power on in the organs is a big game-changer.” That’s the goal of Phase 1 of the Foundational Protocol. Let’s begin to open up the drainage pathways. Let’s start supporting mitochondria, building that up and getting the body prepared.
One of the things you will see in the phases is there’s always a binder. These binders are the 2.0 binders where you can take them with or without food, which is a game-changer. They are way different than charcoal or clay. If you take charcoal, there’s no energy in that. They stay in the digestive tract. They can bind some things in the gut but our binders like the BioToxin Binder will not only stay.
A third of it will stay in the gut but 2/3 will cross into the body, go into the cells and start binding onto the things. We are big fans of always being on a binder gathering things up because if you are moving things, killing things or turning stuff on and you are not sponging up, gathering the toxins that start to get float around, then you will start getting symptoms.
Our big focus heavily is on drainage and mitochondrial energy. Always be on a binder no matter where you are at. That’s a good standard. As we move forward with the different phases, then we are working on the gut, different critters and parasites. I heard this years ago that mold spores can live inside of parasites.
Parasites are also big sponges for chemicals and toxins. Dr. Ellen McDonald, a researcher and PhD, found that Lyme disease itself can live inside of parasites. If you think of parasites as housing different things and protecting them, toxins and other pathogens, then it makes sense to address the parasite side early on if there is any. Clean the gut up as you move forward, focusing on drainage, mitochondria, taking down what we consider more of the big critters that are housing, protecting other things in the body and focusing on detoxification.
If somebody is like, “My heart stuff and Lyme disease keep coming back. I keep getting sick of this bug,” generally, we are missing a chemical or a toxin in the body that has not been addressed or bound with, or we are still getting exposed to it and/or it could be both. We are not binding onto it or clearing it out. Plus, we might be still being exposed to it like living in a moldy building. As soon as we identify what that is and clear it out, everything changes.
If somebody keeps relapsing like, “I keep getting this back. I get sick every year. I keep having Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia. I’m so sensitive with mold,” know that there are probably other things going on. The more we can clear out all the chemicals that shouldn’t be in the body, the more your life and health are going to radically change.
No matter what people may be suffering from out there, whether it is brain fog, neurologic issues, gastrointestinal issues or cardiovascular symptoms, we are always looking for the cause. As we are elucidating, there are lots of different toxins and toxicants that are leading to these problems. What we found when we start off with step one of this Foundation Protocol is it’s a great place for anyone to start because you are supporting people through that process.
If we have someone who has brain fog or palpitations, we are waiting to get our mold mycotoxin tests back. We are looking for all these different environmental toxins. While we are waiting to get those results back, we will immediately start them on step one. The binders are so critical to binding up all these toxins and toxicants that are coming in. That liver supports, kidney support, pretty much everything that we are doing to make sure all the outflow tracks are open, people start to feel much better quickly very often.
What we need to do is we need to let our decisions and dollars make those choices.
Usually, the younger you are, the faster. I had a friend of mine that was like, “Is there a pediatrician in the area you would recommend?” I’m like, “Bring her over. What’s going on?” I checked her out and I’m like, “This looks definitely like mold with a four-year-old. You and mom have the same symptoms. This was a house that you moved from.” They relocated. With the little four-year-old, I gave BioToxin Binder. You can open the capsules up. I had her take half a capsule and a little bit of water. Usually, it doesn’t have much flavor. You can always mix something if you need to disguise the flavor for kids.
She took half a capsule of BioToxin Binder, a couple of drops of the CT-Minerals and three drops of the MitoATP. Within 48 hours, the fever that she was spiking went away. Lethargy or not feeling good turned around 48 hours fine. I kept her on it for a week. I rechecked her and I was like, “How fast it can change when you get to that core?” It’s safe for kids. The longer you have been dealing with it, the more beat down the body is that you have incurred things over your lifetime, then it can take a little bit longer. When you get down to it, the body was designed to heal.
I get those emails often too and they are like, “Is there another cardiologist near me? What can I do about a child?” It’s not that there aren’t other great practitioners out there. It’s tough when you know that you are the best at helping that individual or person but it is a blessing the fact you can do so and be able to help out people like that. Pediatricians will never ever think about that child’s environment.
It’s the default of the medical doctor to think about, “What is some medical label that I can put someone on to satisfy like ICD-10 code or something like that? What’s the label I can put on that person? What is pharmacological therapy?” This child that you spoke of may have wound up on steroids, allergy medicine, psychological impacting drug, Adderall or something. It could have been numerous of things when you went right after the cause and it works. That’s tremendous.
That’s the key. When you get to the source, it changes everything. What’s interesting is if you find somebody with mold, generally, it’s the family members that are going to have some effects. In this family, it’s some friends. With the four-year-old daughter, it’s the dad. “I’ve got some sinus congestion. I wouldn’t say my energy is great.”
He wouldn’t have considered him sick or having any issues. I had him take some HydrOxygen, which is a liquid that we have. It’s molecular hydrogen, molecular oxygen. It stabilized things in and rinse out with it. He texted me, “Is this normal?” It looks like a worm type of thing that came out of his sinuses. That was unbelievable.
Maybe I will spare people the visual on that, although sometimes it can be very stimulating to get people to take a look. The Foundation Protocol is perfect for so many people yet if you also want some guidance, we’ve got some of the practitioners who work with us to be able to guide people through a lot of these CellCore products. I want to thank you and Dr. Todd for going that extra mile. Not only to support your wife, everybody else’s family and all the people out there who are suffering. We are going to be able to take this message to millions of people who are suffering from these problems and make tremendous strides.
Dr. Jay, I love when it’s a win-win-win for people. It’s a win for the people at CellCore because they are helping people, for the doctors that are using CellCore products and for the patients because they are getting better. Who are the losers in the equation? It’s the doctors and the pharmaceutical companies who are not thinking outside of the box, that is not willing to embrace some of these new ideas, new technologies, which are old ideas and old technologies. We are going to create a losing situation for them while the people, our patients and our clients are all winning. I want to give you the last word on what you want to say.
Kudos to you, Dr. Jack Wolfson. You have been a very brave man. It is not easy, especially the arrows that are being thrown the last couple of years. Kudos to you and everything that you have done along with your wife. You docs are changing lives and staying on top of the cutting-edge things. I couldn’t recommend anybody better to go to than your clinic, what you do clinically with patients and clients, leads them through to get to ultimately the right path and to the source. What we need to do is we need to let our decisions in dollars make those choices.
When we start buying foods that are more natural and more people do it, the grocery stores take notice, “All this artificial junk isn’t selling like it used to. We need to have more natural things.” We have seen that over the years in grocery stores as they have been making that change and evolution. It’s the same thing in the natural realm as well. As we lead forward, get to the problems and solutions that change our lives, then we can help tell others, “This is the path. I worked with Dr. Jack’s team. They put me on CellCore and it changed my life.” Other people then will start getting results and people aren’t going into that broken system as much.
The system starts being refocused on what it’s there for, emergency crisis care, rather than people thinking that they are going to get healthy in a system that never gets to the source. Keep moving forward. Make the best decision for yourself and your family. The more people do that is going to change and transform our culture, America and the world into more of this golden age that we are moving into.
I’m going to carry that positive message as well. Thank you again for everything you are doing. This is another fantastic episode of the show. We will catch you on another fantastic episode with another great guest to get you to live your best life, your longest life, the 100-year heart. That’s our goal. We will see you next time.
