Congratulations! You had a heart attack. Now you ask, why would I congratulate you? Well, it’s because you lived. Yes, you survived the heart attack. Many people don’t.
But you are now left to wonder, why did this happen to you? Your MD, if they told you anything about why, likely said this happened because of your genetics or family history. Or maybe you are just getting older.
Both of these responses are incorrect. Your genetics are fine. And getting older doesn’t explain this either, given many heart attack victims are younger than 50, sometimes under 30!
Why You Had a Heart Attack
The cause of your heart attack, actually the causes (plural), are violations of Eat Well, Live Well, Think Well. When you are not following these principles, you will develop cardiovascular disease and potentially succumb to a myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack.
So when you eat the wrong foods and not enough of the right foods, you are at risk of an MI.
When you don’t get optimal sleep, sunshine and physical activity, you are at risk of an MI.
When you are constantly bathed in chemicals, you are at risk of an MI.
When you are not thinking well: stress, worry, fear, anxiety etc., you are at risk of an MI.
The Proximate Cause Was….
So violations of Eat Well, Live Well, Think Well lead to coronary artery disease. But something suddenly led to the heart attack on that particular day. Something caused a plaque (area of artery damage that develops over time) to rupture, leading to sudden occlusion (blockage) of your artery, and subsequent heart damage.
The most common reason for the sudden plaque rupture is STRESS. I have seen 10s of thousands of people. And stress always plays a role right before a cardiovascular event.
Pharma is Not the Answer
Your heart attack was not from a statin drug deficiency. And not from an aspirin deficiency. And not from a stent deficiency. Pharma has very little benefit after a heart attack. Pharma can reduce your risk of another heart attack from 3% to 2.5% over the next year. Is that good enough for you? 0.5%? For your family member? I didn’t think you would be impressed. But this is the BEST your MD has to offer.
What to Do to Prevent Another Heart Attack
Again, congrats on surviving the first event. Will you survive another one? How about, let’s not find out. Let’s prevent another heart attack. Here is my plan.
- Eat Well- Eat plenty of the good foods and avoid the bad foods.
- Live Well- Get good sleep at the right times. Get sunshine. Get active. Get out of chemicals (and get checked for mold).
- Think Well- Find your happy. Have gratitude and purpose. Build a strong community. Have faith in God.
- Test, Don’t Guess. Get detailed information about YOU. Change your health. Re-test. Suggest our Level 2 to get started here.
- Evidence-based supplements- That’s right. EVIDENCE-based. Sure, supplements do not have the amount of data that pharma does (for obvious reasons). But the lack of massive trials on natural supplements doesn’t mean that they are not efficacious.
- BioHacking Strategies. Yes, this category can help. Big time.
